Besides the historic name of "Three-Seats", Covasna County is still also known as the Land of Mansions , as well as the Land of volcanic mofettes and the Land of the 1000 mineral water springs. Covasna County has more than 160 mansions and a few modest castles that used to belong to families with noble rank. Bicfalău is "the most mansion concentrated village" - 36 mansions adorn the streets here most of the 17th century, each retaining valuable architectural elements worthy of preservation and appreciation. In the 1950-60s many of these buildings served purposes other than accommodating a (noble) family - mansions were used as a kindergarten or even engine house, or just left behind, because their owners, deprived of properties, were forced out of the country.

Some mansions have been restored and transformed into accommodations such as Daniel Castle from Tălişoara or Benke Mansion from Moacşa, others function as a museum, such as the Kálnoky Castle in Micloşoara, which hosts the Museum of Transylvanian Life.

Due to the volcanic activities that took place 50-20 thousands of years ago, one can find highly mineralized water alongside the Eastern range of the Carpathian Mountains. These sources are used both for internal and external cures, or simply just as drinking water.

According to the different mineralization, you will meet various types of fizzy and still mineral water in Szeklerland: they differ in color (brownish, yellowish, lime white), smell (sulphurous, ferruginous), and taste (ferruginous, salty).

You can find mineral water springs near the roads or close to the forest, as well as bottled as drinking water or curing/medicinal water (Malnaș - Aqua Telluris, Regina - Benkő, Vâlcele); captured in small wooden pools and called traditional Szekler mineral water bath (Apor Bath, Csiszár Bath in Balvanyoș Spa, Uncle Teddy Bear's Bath in Bățanii Mici, Sütei Bath in Olteni, Fortyogó Bath in Peteni, Csókás Bath in Cernat, Bugyogó Bath in Valea Zălanului, Smelley Bath in Belin, or at Ozunca Băi); or used in balneotheraphy in Covasna Spa or other centers (Belin, Hătuica, Olteni, Malnaș-Băi, Vâlcele, Șugaș).

Besides that you also can experience a very active vacation in Covasna County: horseback riding, adventure parks , hiking and cycling tracks, and you also can learn some of the traditional crafts from local craftsmen.
